Membership Application
General Information
Please read this before applying for membership.
About us: We are a friendly, co-operative club and invite our members to join in any or all, of the activities on offer.
Management of the Club: The club’s Managing Committee is made up of a President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Secretary and Group Representatives. These positions are held for a period of up to two years. The Committee meets regularly.
AGM: All members are invited to attend the AGM in February. There are two other General Meetings. lt is important that members attend at least two General Meetings per year as in our Constitution.
Funds: Membership subscriptions provide the working capital of the club. Our Financial Year is from 1st Jan. to 31st. December.
Membership Fee Renewal: is due by the last day of March.
Community Involvement: The club has an annual Open Day. All groups take part in displaying and demonstrating their craft to visitors at the clubrooms. This is not a sale of work.
Personal Information Policy: All Members automatically agree to the following:
1.As a member of Kowhai Art & Craft Incorporated you are willing to accept information from KAC which includes Newsletters and other notices about the running of the club.
2.You are willing to receive information about members’ exhibitions and displays, organised outside KA&C.
3.You are willing to receive general art information.
4. You are willing to accept and abide by the Health & Safety and Etiquette protocols of Kowhai Art & Craft Inc. These can be viewed at https://kac.nz/kacprotocols and can be downloaded here.
The club will never give anyone your personal information without your permission.
Fee and Payment details:
One-Off Joining Fee: New members only: $15.00
Annual Subscription fee. Due 1st March 2021: $85.00
Half year subscription fee: (July to December only): $42.50
