We meet the 4th Thursday of the month.
Felting is an ancient tradition of creating from natural fibers such as wool, alpaca, mohair, etc. Felt is a non-woven textilethat is produced by matting, condensing and pressing fibers together. Today felt is made of a combination of natural and synthetic fibers such as acrylic and many people are using this technique very creatively to make a variety of beautiful items. Fine sections of fibers are laid one over the other at right angles until a certain thickness has been achieved and then hot soapy water is added.
Although we do not provide tutoring, everyone helps each other with their individual and diverse projects such as the making of nuno scarves, needle (dry) felting, bags, flowers, slippers, murals…in fact we have a go at almost anything. You are most welcome to join us.
If you’d like to drop by, just contact us to let us know you’re coming.
